Kathren Gonzalez

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW (she, her)

Kathren moved to the Flathead Valley in 2017 after wanting a change of pace. She enjoys the tranquility and aliveness of nature and feels most herself surrounded by mountains. In her personal life, Kathren enjoys playing soccer, game nights, and lifting weights. She likes to maintain an active lifestyle and truly believes in the body-mind connection.

Kathren’s passion for humanness and helping others eventually led to a career in social work. She later discovered her love for psychotherapy.

Education

Kathren obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology through the University of Great Falls in 2014. Upon graduation, Kathren took a gap year and spent her time volunteering with Americorps. A year later, she pursued her Master of Social Work degree at California State University, Long Beach and graduated in 2017.

Training

Kathren obtained her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in 2019. She pursued her interest in trauma-informed care and became an Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist. Additionally, she incorporates Ego States (Parts Work) into her therapeutic approach, recognizing its efficacy in addressing deeper-rooted issues.

Continuing her commitment to professional development, Kathren is actively pursuing a certificate in Somatic Experiencing (SE) therapy. Her goal is to integrate somatic work into her trauma-focused care, further enriching her ability to support individuals on their healing journey.
